Creative Outdoors came across Juno and her family on Facebook. Mia (Juno’s Mum) was looking for help to fix some tripping hazards around the home. We started following their Facebook page ‘Our little Junebug & Co.’ and asked them for more information about the tripping hazards. We soon came to realise that they had a lot more issues around the home than just a few tripping hazards and we wanted to help in whatever way we could.
Let us tell you a little bit about Juno & her family - Juno was born with a syndrome called Septo-optic Dysplasia. Which means she has underdeveloped optic nerves and is severely vision impaired, she has hormone deficiencies, intra-cranial malformations, hip dysplasia, scoliosis, neuromuscular disease and is Autistic. So, as you can imagine Juno & her family face many challenges everyday that most of us take for granted. Juno’s big brother Rourke has multiple anaphylactic food allergies which is another challenge the family work with every day. Then there is the youngest of the family Olive, and what a little pocket rocket she is! Mia & Andrew (Mum & Dad) take all these challenges under their belt like some superhero team. They are such a happy and close family who are always so positive and just keep on moving forward with every challenge. They really are a very inspirational family.
Back to the issues around their home. Some of the biggest challenges they have is Juno getting around safely. There are so many trip hazards! From undulating paving to unsuitable steps and gas pipes running across walk ways. There are also water issues and retaining issues. Juno also can’t use the pool for long periods of time as it exposed to the sun. The pool is very important therapy for Juno so to be able to use the pool in her own home is so important.
Creative Outdoors along with the help of some amazingly generous companies have helped bring #JunosChristmasWish to life. Here’s some of what we have completed so far, but we still need more people to help us.
Creative Outdoors have installed new steps to the front door so Juno can gain access safely, created concept plans and working drawings of the work required, supplied pergola materials, supplied labour to build the pergolas and are giving our time to project manage and liaise with Council, railways, etc.

Urban Oz carried out repairs to the previously back to front & unlockable sliding doors and repaired and painted the fascia’s

However, we still need more businesses and people to help. Can you help? See what we still need below. Or you can donate to Juno’s Go Fund Me page www.gofundme.com/ourlittlejunebug
